Stephen Moore Roosh Manager
Considered one of Ryde Baptist’s favourite son’s – Steve spent much of his childhood and teenage years growing up at Ryde, where he was an active member of the youth and worship teams. Shortly after finishing high school, Steve departed Ryde when he accepted an internship with the worship arm of Baptist Youth Ministries – BYM. This internship saw Steve travel around regional and rural NSW ministering and coaching church worship teams, whilst being mentored by some of Australia’s best Christian musicians and church leaders. After completing this internship Steve spent several years developing his ministry gifting’s, before joining the leadership team at C3 Church Rozelle. There, Steve assisted with many of the business aspect associated with church life – finance, legal, strategy – and served on team within their worship ministry. Steve also oversaw the church’s youth ministry, in which he developed and taught scripture programs to year 9 students at Epping Boys High School.
As well as serving in the above capacities, Steve is a qualified OSHC worker who has previously worked for ROOSH as their Educational Leader and Assistant Coordinator. Before returning to ROOSH Steve worked as a program coordinator for Australia’s largest OSHC provider – Junior Adventures Group – within both their OSHClub and Helping Hands brands. Steve has experience managing centres across a variety of socio-economic areas in both public and private schools. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding the implementation of the NQF, curriculum development in line with the “My Time, Our Place’ framework, and a sound understanding of the governing industry laws and regulations. Described as a charismatic leader, who has proven capable of training and guiding teams with all levels of experience through the assessment and rating process.
