Acts 3:1–4:4 | Faith at Work

What does faith look like outside the church gathering—on the footpath, in the ordinary, in public? In Acts 3, Peter and John aren’t chasing a headline miracle. They’re simply walking in the rhythm of prayer when the Spirit interrupts their day with a person in need. In this message, we see the risen Jesus continuing His work through Spirit-empowered believers—so faith becomes visible in the streets. Three outcomes we’re aiming for:

1. Notice — The Spirit helps us see people (not walk past them).

2. Courage — We step toward need in Jesus’ name (not just sympathy from a distance).

3. Witness — We speak about Jesus clearly, even when it costs us. In this passage, watch the movement: Peter and John stop and see (compassion that pays attention) They act in Jesus’ name (faith that steps forward) Peter preaches Jesus from the Scriptures (a clear gospel witness) They face opposition—and God still saves (Acts 4:4) This isn’t just a story about a miracle—it’s a story about Jesus, and what He keeps doing when His people live filled with the Holy Spirit.
