Faithful in Babylon | Daniel 1:1–21

In the first sermon of our Loving Our City series, Pastor Ken opens Daniel 1 and asks: How do God’s people live faithfully in a city with competing loves?

Daniel 1 reminds us that Babylon may be powerful, but it is never ultimate. God is still sovereign, even in exile. Daniel and his friends show us what it means to live with faithful distinction — present in the city, engaged in the city, serving the city, but not owned or reshaped by the city.

This message challenges us to love our city through faithful presence: praying for the places God has put us, learning the names and stories of the people around us, and living as people whose identity is found in Christ.
