The Kingdom That Will Never End- (Part 2) | Daniel 7&8

In Daniel 7, God pulls back the curtain on history and reveals four great empires—Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. Through Daniel’s vision of four beasts, we discover that while earthly kingdoms rise and fall, none operate outside the sovereign rule of God.

As we trace these empires through Scripture and history, a remarkable picture emerges. Babylon’s exile fulfilled God’s word through Jeremiah. Medo-Persia became the means by which God brought His people home under Cyrus. Greece spread a common language that prepared the world for the gospel. Rome provided the roads, stability, and setting for the coming of Jesus and the rapid spread of Christianity.

What appears to be the rise and fall of nations is actually the unfolding of God’s redemptive plan.

Daniel reminds us that history is not random. Behind every kingdom stands the sovereign God who is directing history toward His ultimate purpose—the coming of His eternal kingdom through Jesus Christ.
